Server is now shut down!
Thank you, to everyone that played! It was a great run!
The IP now redirects to 4craft. You can find more info at 4craft.us
Welcome to CrossedShadows
! This is a Modded Hardcore PvP/Survival Server
. Everything is free-for-all. Want to blow up a base? So do we! We're looking for the hard of the core, anyone who is experienced with Minecraft's PvP system will enjoy our swirled up version of it.
The plugins include our own modified versions of Factions
, and a few other plugins for various fixes. There are several books in spawn that explain, in depth, the meaning and proper usage of each plugin.
Remember, you can do anything!
To compliment the books, we provide a less detailed version of each plugin here, and links to their respective pages for further reading.
This is a plugin that allows members to group up. You can create a faction/clan/guild, and build, hunt, survive, and raid together! There is a more detailed explination of how Factions works at the spawn point in-game.
For those of you who understand Factions already; here is the list of protected items. Take note that chests are NOT protected here!
1) Stone Pressure Plates
3) Stone Buttons
Basically, this means that you can make an iron door with either a stone
pad or a lever to open it; this leaves wooden doors vulnerable for anyone to walk into; and wood pads for traps. This is also true for stone/wood buttons. Please keep in mind that TNT and fire destruction are ON, and that obsidian is weaker than dirt, when it comes to TNT on our server. Although, Creeper Eggs are very possible to obtain via Runecraft, and Obsidian still holds strong against them!
For those of you unfamiliar with factions, here's a small breakdown:
Factions are groups of teammates, working together to dominate the server. Larger factions normally thrive the best. Though Larger factions =/= a better faction. Yes, factions include protected lands, but there are tons of ways around the protection. Figuring them out is part of the fun.
This is a mod that grants perks to those who play more often. Combat skills have been modified a bit, as to be more "fair."
What king of perks? Well, in this mod, you level up stats. Stats can be found with /mcstats
. Most perks include a higher chance of getting double or even tripple drops. Sometimes you'll even get an extra block or item, depending on what block was broken with what tool. McMMO is a pretty straightforward plugin, usually asking someone in-game is the fastest way to get good information.
Runecraft is a fun plugin that allows users to create patterns with materials on the map, called Runes, in order to cast various magic skills! These abilities range from waypoint/teleporters, to setting the world ablaze. This is easily CrossedShadow's most complicated plugin. There's a lengthy tutorial for it at spawn, but we recommend checking the Runecraft Wiki
and C'tri on Youtube
Speaking of C'tri, him and many other Weaverians play here, so if you want to keep your head; learning Runecraft is highly recommended.
All servers need a way to stay afloat; and so we usually turn to voting systems and donations. Our server does the same, although we try to keep everything balanced. We don't want a "pay 2 win" mindset. But at the same time, you guys that help us out so much should feel rewarded beyond that special warm feeling inside that the server is staying up another month.
To buy or browse packages, type in the command /buy
After typing that in, it will open a chatbox-menu. It will show you a list of available pre-set packages. To pick one just type /buy 1
, or /buy 2
, etc. You get more in-game stuff, depending on how much you spend. Packages may take a few minutes to process; and then it will display a message. To exit the packages menu, you type the command /ec
Don't have the dosh for donating or buying packages? Still want to help out? No big deal, you're still our friend! Anyone can "vote" for the server on any server list we're posted on. Doing so will give you a handful of diamonds, and you can vote on each website every 24 hours!
Here's a list of websites we're currently posted on. Voting on at LEAST the first 1 or 2 is the way to be the most helpful; but feel free to vote on them all!
Are we online?
